Personal Mission Statement
To follow Christ in my habits, in my thoughts, and in my words. To practice my Catholic faith, and to honor the ways others experience God that may be different from my own faith tradition.
To spend time in silence every day, remembering the fruit of silence is prayer, the fruit of prayer is faith, the fruit of faith is love, the fruit of love is service, and the fruit of service is peace.
To love my wife for my entire life. To keep the promises of our marriage covenant and honor her every day. To apologize first and forgive easily, and to remember the greatest gift I can give my children is to love their mother.
To be honest with myself, my wife, my children, my family, my friends, and everyone I encounter. To be a source of kindness and support as a father, husband, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.
To seek first to understand. To listen twice as much as I speak, and to speak with kindness and humility when I do.
To become the best version of myself through a commitment to life-long learning. To stretch and be okay with discomfort. To read good books. To develop new skills and master existing skills. To use my God-given talents to make the world a better place for all of God's creation.
To exercise my rights as a responsible citizen. To improve my communities through service to my neighbor. To serve with pure intentions and a grateful heart without seeking praise or recognition. To harm no one.
To use my professional talents to solve important problems. To be a source of peace, friendship, wisdom, guidance and leadership for my colleagues and clients. To be honest, ethical, and authentic in business transactions. To love people and use things, not the other way around. To be loyal to those who are absent.
To be disciplined in maintaining a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise. To maintain balance and avoid excess. To make rest and leisure a priority for my family.
To support my family by providing financial stability, emotional security, spiritual guidance, and unconditional love. To be a port in storms. And to keep in mind that children are not meant to be molded but unfolded.
To remember to have fun.
