Everything we see is a passion project

In the long run, the future is created by optimists.

Look around.

Everything you see is someone’s passion project.

Your house was once just a set of blueprints on an architect’s drafting table.

Your phone was just a prototype. Conceptualized, then meticulously designed.

What did you have for dinner last night? If you ate at a restaurant, your meal was plated at the direction of a chef who considered exactly how that meal would look and taste.

That car.

That chair.

That coffee shop.

All imagined and brought to life by someone who believed in their own potential to create something.

Some days are hard.

The Dow drops. A loved one gets sick. We hear news of war and suffering.

Yom 'asal, wa yom basal.

“One day honey, one day onions.” - Sufi proverb

On onion days, it’s easy to get discouraged and fall into the trap of, “what’s the point?”

But you and me, let’s not fall into that trap. Let’s remember to look around. Everything we see is someone’s passion project.

Tomorrow just might be a honey day.

And in the long run, the future is created by optimists.
